It also comes with a software dyno tool that I have derived a lot of useful data from, once I got it set up correctly. You can capture as much real time data as you have free disk space and then analysis it all off line. They also make a version for PDA’s but I don’t believe that it would be as useful. What is will do for you is allow you to access every sensor and command every control point in every module of your vehicle using a Windows notebook computer, including Freeze Frame and Mode 6 data. This is not an inexpensive toy nor is it a programmer or the equivalent of a GM Scan tool. Apparently, the Duramax ECM CAN D interface is NOT very OBDII compliant and it took the Auto Enginuity folks a while to work out the software kinks, during which time their customer support was first rate.
